Jon Stewart’s Epic Tribute to Pizza
Do you like pizza? Of course you do. Jon Stewart certainly does. And he used Donald Trump and Sarah Palin’s meeting of the minds, which took place at some piece-of-shit chain pizzeria, to launch into an amazing tribute to pizza.
Amen!
That’s Madan Padarat, talking not about the actual Ganges River in India, but Jamaica Bay, in Brooklyn and Queens. Local Hindus have been performing religious rituals along the Queens shores, under the takeoff path of planes from Kennedy Airport. These rituals involve the throwing of objects like coconuts and jewelery into the water, and sometimes includes animal sacrifices—and it’s polluting the sand and the (already polluted) water. Local religious leaders and park rangers are working to find a solution, organizing an Earth Day cleanup. But what the article doesn’t mention is the importance of gold in a lot of these Hindu sacrifices. Which means there are gold coins and gold jewelery just waiting to be found at the bottom of Jamaica Bay, for the daring.

Anonymous asked: Why Brooklyn?
At first it was because I really needed a place to stay and the one I found was here.
But then, then I grew to love it.
Brooklyn is a magical place and there’s nothing quite like it, if you ask me. Which you did. Things can change drastically from one block to the next. You can be in a historic neighborhood that’s kept up well and transition into a place where you wouldn’t want to be caught alone at night. You will hear different languages, dialects and slang and see people from around the world all within the span of a few blocks.
I will most likely be moving soon, and most likely out of Brooklyn depending on certain factors, but it will always hold a very special place in my heart.
This right here. THIS. RIGHT. HERE.

Bed Stuy x Do or Die
Young rapper puts a positive spin on the treatment of women in rap songs.
14 year old Astronomical Kid, a.k.a. Brian Bradley, is from Bedford-Stuyvesant and began rapping when he was 10 years old.
Astro, stated that he came up with the idea for “Stop Looking at My Moms”, when he saw people checking out his mother.
So will they stop looking at mom?
Hopefully, this is a new trend we will be seeing more of. What do you think of Astro and “Stop Looking at My Mom’s”?
For real, man!
GPOYW: I am well aware that this mirror is SO DIRTY—but that’s not the point here. The point is I want to show off my outfit that I wore during Fashion’s Night Out.
Yeah, it’s been over a month, but I’m finally getting to putting up more photos. Shhh!
I love you, raincoat.
I’ve mentioned multiple times that the crew for Boardwalk Empire were filming a few blocks away from me earlier this year. Well, I finally found out what they used that building for. It was a brothel in Chicago. Delightful!
What wasn’t so delightful… The fact that the whole street smelled like horse poop.
My street at night looks sinister!
9/11 memorial lights as seen from my living room window in Brooklyn, NY.
Apparently she bought a brownstone on the same street as me. Exciting…even though I’ve only listened to her album a handful of times. But still… While everyone shits on Bed-Stuy and thinks it’s hood, this is going on. This place is great, when are the rest of you fools going to recognize?

The show was amazing, ear shattering, and even Jeff Goldblum showed up!
All in all, a great night. Sadly, these seem to be the only good photos I got after skimming through everything I took. Too much dancing, not enough focus. (:
